- 2 lbs frozen mixed berries cranberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
- 1-2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
- salt to taste

- Place the frozen berries in heavy bottom Dutch oven or stock pot.
- Simmer on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Mash berries or use and immersion blender to get desired consistency. Be sure to keep some texture by not blending to a completely smooth consistency.
- Finish with honey or maple syrup. Add sweetener until desired sweetness. Stir to combine.
- Add a sprinkle of salt to finish.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or eat warm right after preparation.
