Stress Reduction Strategies
It’s important to recognize the role that stress plays in your emotional wellbeing. Here are a few tips and resources that might help you better manage the stress in your life.
Know the Signs
Stress is sneaky. You may notice the signs before you can even pinpoint what’s bugging you. Listen to your body. Watch out for aches—whether it’s your head, stomach, or general body pain. High blood pressure is another giveaway. You may also have trouble sleeping or just feel “off.”
Give Yourself a Break—Literally
A little self-care can go a long way toward easing stress and supporting your mental and emotional wellbeing. Taking periodic breaks through the day to relax, rejuvenate, and reset is a great place to start. Studies show that breaks—even as little as 15 minutes at a time—can provide many health benefits.
